RSA Schedule change in March: Added mat-time for Big Kid classes with adults moving up to 6:45 PM2/18/2018
Beginning on Thursday, March 1, 2018, the following time changes will take effect for all evening classes. It is our highest priority to give our members the best opportunities to improve in each and every class to one day achieve a high level of expertise in the art of Jiu-Jitsu. Our vision of a true master is one who has a deep reservoir of technical knowledge, an understanding of leverage and bio-mechanics and acquired the ability to intuitively move in relation to the movements of any opponent. Because of this, we realized that the 60 minute session was not enough time to achieve all of our older kid class objectives (including warm ups, new technique, drilling, coordination exercises and sparring). Therefore, breaking the 60 minute norm was clearly necessary. Additionally, as we strive to weave the concepts based on the newest ideas in developmental psychology into our programs, our decision to extend our classes is underscored by the central notion that the acquisition of mastery can only be attained through accumulating thousands of hours of consistent and deliberate practice. Big Kid classes will now run from 5:15 - 6:40 [adding 25 minutes to each class for a total of 85 minutes per session and a possible 4 hours and 20 minutes per week]. Men and Women classes will now start promptly at 6:45 PM. There is no extra charge for this increase and as always, we thank you for your continuing support and dedication to our team mission which includes a dedication to Jiu-Jitsu mastery. Just a reminder to all who come to RSA, whether you are a student, supportive family member, or friend: please remember that at RSA we treat each other with respect. Our culture of positivity and safety is one of our greatest assets which sets us apart from other organizations. This culture makes RSA not only a place to learn and train hard in a safe environment, but a place to escape the daily grind. At RSA, we take care of each other. Comments are closed.
