Great Organization, Tough Competition.
The April 2017 Hawaii Triple Crown of Jiu-Jitsu was one of the smoothest tournaments we've been to in a long time. With record numbers of kid competitors, the mats were packed with talented athletes from most of the Jiu-Jitsu schools in Hawaii. We are looking froward to the next event in June! Thank you to all the organizers and staff at the Triple Crown for strengthening our small but rich Jiu-Jitsu community.
Wednesday Big Kids class will be moving to Friday at 5:15 PM and the women's class will move up in schedule to 6:30 PM on Wednesday evenings.
RSA will commence our all women class tonight (1.4.2017) Check out our course description at:
Classes are scheduled on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM and Fridays at 6:30 PM. Program schedule will continue to expand when class sizes increase.
We want to thank Dan Phoenix from Mass BJJ for stopping by during his vacation in Hawaii. He showed some great submission and pass details in class. Come back any time.
Grandmaster Relson Gracie stopped by to show some of his street fighting moves. Unreal.
A special holiday surprise, Emile Suehiro stops by to teach some awesome techniques. Emile started with Relson back when he was 11. Good times.
This is an interview with Matt Thornton covering methods of training in the martial arts centered specifically around Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Very good podcast and informative. Thank Springer for link.
When it comes to possessing the attributes of hard work, a love for drilling, competing and a non-stop positive attitude, AJ Mendoza is up there with the best. On Saturday, November 25th, AJ was promoted to Black Belt by Ronn Shiraki after being certified by Relson Gracie at the Grandmaster's home.
Special thank you to Dave Futa for his time and effort in helping AJ get ready for his final test. Thank you Muleke.
Words cannot express how thankful we are to have AJ and his wealth of experience in the academy. Congratulations.
