 Alika Dayton, started practicing Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in November 2006 on the Big Island of Hawaii after taking a class with Phil Baltunado (one of Ronn Shiraki's first students). He later moved to Oahu in April of 2007 and started training at the Relson Gracie Kaneohe Team under its founder Ronn Shiraki and was hooked from that point on. Alika consitently trains at a minimum of 3 days a week, successfully competes at local Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments and is an official RSA assistant instructor. He is one of the most crafty members of the team, finding ways to surprise opponents with submissions from all angles. Jiu-Jitsu has now become Alika's major passion in his life or, rather, a way of life: it has even taken precedence over his first love surfing which, in his own words he said, "I never thought was possible!"
